Anna Kathryn Gaffney, from Lexington, South Carolina, is honored and excited to serve as the inaugural Miss South Carolina All American 2025. A Palmetto Fellow and senior in the Honors College at Clemson University, she has earned a place on the President’s List or Dean’s List every semester. Majoring in Animal and Veterinary Sciences, Anna Kathryn will graduate a year early with plans to attend veterinary school. She currently works as a veterinarian’s assistant at Pawmetto Lifeline, a non-profit animal rescue center.
At Clemson, Anna Kathryn was inducted into Omicron Delta Kappa Leadership Society as a sophomore—an honor typically reserved for juniors and seniors. She is also a member of the Chick-fil-A Service Club and serves on the Executive Board of Battle Buddies, an organization that raises and trains service dogs for veterans with PTSD. As Service Chairperson and President-Elect, she is personally raising and training an English Cream Golden Retriever named Goose, who will graduate in December as a seizure and service dog.
Beyond her academic and service commitments, Anna Kathryn enjoys baking, cooking, and spicing up meals with raw jalapeños. A passionate traveler, she has visited 20 U.S. states and 13 countries. An adrenaline enthusiast, she has gone SCUBA diving, snow skiing, whitewater rafting, zip lining, jet skiing, hang gliding in Chattanooga, surfing in Lisbon, and skydiving on her 18th birthday in Rock Hill. Next on her list: waterfall rappelling. When she’s not adventuring, she enjoys binge-watching NCIS.
Her Community Service Initiative, Anna’s Animals, began during COVID and has provided food, toys, blankets, towels, crates, and more to animal shelters across South Carolina. She expanded the program internationally while completing a work-study at an animal rescue clinic in Valencia, Spain.
As Miss South Carolina All American, Anna Kathryn looks forward to representing her home state, continuing to grow Anna’s Animals, and promoting the national service initiative, Smile Train.

This is a moment to embody strength and style…and show off all of those hours in the gym!
